I AGREE! This is a problem for those of us who are "SELF HOSTED" too! I couldn't even get into the admin panel to disable this function because it kept waiting on the connection to Skadate! Today it seems better but
I didn't SELF HOST (A more expensive option) this product only to be wounded by the continued dependence on my connection to Skadate!

We had some left-to-be-unknown problems with our hosting partner on the weekend. Now it seems to be ok. Of course it doesn't depend on your monthly fees guys. Or does it?

I just browsed through your site, looks like it's performing well. Do you think it can be daily traffic jumps? when do you experience the problem?

Since I SELF HOST this is a REAL problem! I have to tolerate the problems with the connection on my Admin panel..
But TONIGHT I finally just SHUT THIS OFF since every page that EVER member was using was waiting on Skafla.ads.com. This is VERY BAD for my reputation and the very reason I wanted to self host.
Let me know when you've got this available for PRODUCTION use and for SELF HOSTING sites.

We did some performance tweaking and looks like the whole situation with ad server improved. Check if you can feel this on your sites. Thanks.
