I have a bug in the Skadate software that needs to be fixed but I there is currently no "BUG REPORTS" board in the Skadate area to report it...


Most of us probably haven't' noticed but there is a bug in the Skadate software on the main page of our sites....

When you click on "next »" link on the MAIN splash page "index.php" the person is taken to the 2nd page of "Featured Members" and not the 1st page.  Each of you can "test" this by replacing the "2" with a "1" in the resulting URL after clicking the "next »" on your home/splash page.

Here's what it currently gives you when you click on the "next »" on your SPLASH page.
http://YOURDOMAIN/members/member/featured_list.php?page=2&command=featured

Replace the 2 with a 1 and you'll see what I mean...
http://YOURDOMAIN/members/member/featured_list.php?page=1&command=featured

Let me know if you need a picture to show you what I saying...

...thanks David.  Nobody else seems to notice maybe they are not using the same template?

For our site it has been noticed by several of our members since we don't FEATURE everyone.

The "next" link points to the second page to show other profiles, not the same ones as on index page. Does this make sense?

 Undecided  If you follow my instructions you will see that the "index page" which is the MAIN HOME page of the site only has a handful of icons that are featured.  The "Next" button SKIPS the 1st full page of featured members and goes to the 2nd full page of featured members.  You can tell this is a BUG because the TIME STAMP for all the members JUMPS. 

Does that make sense?

Should I past an image to better describe this for you?

I think this is disputable because somebody wants to show on the "next page" more other featured profiles (not the same which member already saw on index page) and to interest member by this. From another side, somebody is confused that time stamp jumps. Ok, may be the best way to make it configurable? Admin can set the number of page where "next page" of featured profiles on index page direct?

OK, I guess I'm not explaining it properly, anybody else explain this better?

It's not that you see repeats from the first page... that would be "redundant"

Here is what I mean...

We are currently using your "Dances Wild" template:



See the "next" button on this home page?

Here's what it currently gives you when you click on the "next »" on your SPLASH page.
http://YOURDOMAIN/members/member/featured_list.php?page=2&command=featured

It should go to the full page 1 not the full page 2

Replace the 2 with a 1 and you'll see what I mean...

I don't see this NEXT on your Demo so is this an OLD version of the template that didn't get updated?

OK, doing it the way you suggest is better than omitting several members from the list. Moving to the May update.
