When a user clicks 'Who's Online' it should return results based on the user's preferences, not everyone online.

Nice idea. I think though that "Who's online" should stay as it is, and add a "Who matches online" feature.

Totally DISAGREE, most admins have small member database and more over some members will want to date outside preferences. Preferences are just for convenience and because its part of the registration process......

I belong to a few dating and social sites to compare Skadate against. Myspace and Plenty of Fish are both good examples, free, and have more functionality. At minimum, Who's Online should have optional filters available....I really don't care to see what men are online and really don't care to date outside a 100 mile radius. It seems ludicrous to not think outside the box and think what others, especially paying members, may want and prefer.

I think we should give admins the functionality (I think it sounds incredibly useful to, for example, be able to see only the women online), but also to give admins the control (e.g. an admin of a small site could choose to set up or allow only the "Who's online" including everybody. For my own site, I would definitely like to have a general "Who's online" for people from outside the site seeing everybody, and to give access to members to a more powerful function. Good post Icoover! Glad to have your My Plenty of Fish Space experience aboard

A member can click My Matches and My Neighborhood links and see who is online from their preference. So in a sense this feature suggestion is already on site

Thanks for nice suggestion lcoover But at this point I totally agreed with brusselsshrek, it would be better to make it optional. For exam: admin can decide by himself what link to display in inventory line (all whois online, online men, online women).
What do you think? Is it enough?

No, I don't agree that this is enough. I want to have: - the ability to define what the default "Who is online" shows
- the ability to define extra standard "Who is" pages, e.g. a "What men are online", "What women are online"
- the ability to allow users to define their own "Who is online" criteria, with the ability for admin to disable this possibility
I want the full feature "Who is online" thing, with full admin control over how I might use it!

Now i understand, good suggestion. However, i agree with Adden, just to make it simple. Brusselsshrek idea sounds a little complicated!
