Hmmm...I see that the other admins are asleep, or don't understand why this is worth having. I'll explain.
Look at the two new attachments.
(1) In the "
bad" usability example (which is the way things are at the moment), the user thinks, "ah, here's a nice looking girl, I'll click on her photo", and then when they reach the profile, they don't see at all the photo they've just clicked on, and so they think "Ooo! Where's the girl I clicked on? - she was really, really sexy, where's her photo? is this the same girl? I'm not sure. Did I click on the right thing? I'm confused. This is a really difficult to use website.".
I know this happens, because this is EXACTLY what happened to me, which is how I noticed the problem. I clicked on the thumbnail photo, and was initially rather confused, because I didn't see anywhere the photo I'd just clicked on. I thought, that's strange, is it the same profile? And went back and checked what I'd just clicked on.
(2) In the "
good" usability example (which is what I'm proposing), the user thinks "ah, here's a nice looking girl, I'll click on her photo", and then when they reach the profile, they immediately see the photo again which they've just clicked on, so they're immediately reassured that everything is well, they have not the slightest doubt that they have done the right thing, and so they think "Ooo, and look some other photos of her too. Ooo, yes, she's really sexy. Ooo, and I really enjoy using this site, it's so easy to use, ...".
I hope that's clear now! And the good or bad usability of a site turns on often little things like this.
So, admins, do you want this enhancement?
