Free Members should be able to Reply when a Paid Member initiate a Instant Message(IM) discussion..... whats the sense a Paid Member pay for IM and initiate a discussion with a Free Member and Not getting a reply/response. In the same way Free Member can have free email reply there should be free IM replies. If there is no free IM replies then Paid Member will drop Paid Membership after one(1) month of service because they can't communicate with FREE MEMBERS via IM. This is important for a site that has only a few paid members.

Hmm... did you check it in current version? There are two services for membership types:
1) open private chat session
2) use private chat

"open private chat session" - allows members to initiate IM with others.
"use private chat" - allows members to reply to incoming IM.

So, you can allow to initiate IM and to reply to incoming IM for paid members and allow for none paid members to reply to incoming IM only.

Ok Adden i see what you are saying, i check with Free Membership and i see there is a Problem....

When the Free Member click Private Chat there is IM Window open with message saying " You need to upgrade to "Platinum Plan" to open private chat session, click here" BUT when the Free Member click, Click Here the Payment Page is open into the IM Window, which is too small and the Free Member can not see the Payment Page properly.... Please check!

Hello Adden,

Since we are on this Topic. I have two suggestions to make to add to Skadate 7.

1. In admin area> Membership Services> the Alert Window message that says. " You need to upgrade to Plan to use services", the suggestion is: When a member click OK on Alert Window they should be re-directed to Payment Page.

2. In IM window when Free member click, Click Here to updrade to open private chat, they should be re-directed to Payment Page.... currently Payment Page is open into IM window, which is too small

Hello Adden,

Yes it is, it increases the member awareness from the start and member can decide what to do next. I have members on my site asking me "How do i pay for upgrade"  even when i clearly have the Upgrade link on site. So it's an excellent idea to do so

we create a "click here" link which takes the user directly to the subscribe page when their feature limit has been reached. here is an example.
