With the advent of Email Advertising, this is a great opportunity for Admins to make some extra cash from their site, especially when Admins have a growing Member Database. Below are improvement suggestions for Mass Mailing:
(1) Ability to send Mass Mailing by Country( a common feature with other dating sites) (2) Special Email Template for Mass Mailing with ability to upload images such as a Flyer and Add HTML Codes for Banners or Text which should show up in "Sent Email" (3) Ability for members to Unsubscribe/Opt-out Without they losing their Membership! (4) An Opt-In feature can be added to site Registration Form

Hello Adden,
I was trying to outline a Newsletter Function/Mailing List that is linked to Mass Mailing since those members already there in site database and the software didn't have a Newsletter Function before!
(3) Members should be able to Unsubcribe/Opt-Out from Newsletter if they don't wish to received anymore Newsletter, without they losing their membership. This is the same way members would be able to unsubscribe/opt-out of "New Matches" emails....
(4) To increase the number of members who want to receive Newsletter or Third Party Ads, an Opt-In feature can be added during registration. For example, a question on Registration could be, " Would you like to receive Newsletter from site? then the member can choose either Yes or No with Yes being the Default answer! If member choose Yes then their email address would be added to site Newsletter/Mailing List.

Sorry Easton I am confused do you mean internal mail or external mail. So I assume you mean external mail. I am a great believer in not spreading functionality 'too thin'. In order to be effective any newsletter functionality would have to have a lot of peripheral functionality which has not been highlighted so far.
Bounce Stats Click Thru Rates Spam Indexing ISP Complaints Unique and Revist Clicks Reporting Double Opt in Segmented Lists
Just to name a few !!!
From my point of view having the ability to extract new members in CSV format works justs as well and importing this into a fully functional e-marketing package .... There is no point in having a half way house ... emarketing is too important for it not to be FULLY FUNCTIONAL. These packages are not expensive 'iconnect.com' is cheap and very functional for what you pay.
Whilst all this extra functionality is all very well and good - maybe focusing on the CORE product would benefit us ALL far more ...
Just my opinion
Paul

I hear you Paul, But iconnect.com is NOT cheap for a growing database....
Newsletter is part of the core product(Skadate), as what i understand more than 90% of Admins here earn their revenue from Advertisement and Banner Placement on site. Also, over 50% of SKadate product was built on providing AD revenue options for Admins. I am not sure if getting a few members and having a few events here and there can cut it. SkaDate is about creating business opportunities for Admins and having a Newsletter Function is one of those opportunities as Admins can earn some cash through Email Marketing(a growing business). A quick research suggest that Newsletter Function is getting common among Dating and Social Networking sites due to the potential of these sites having large Member Database.....

I agree totally about e-marketing - however the point I was trying to make is that - unless it can be a complete AND fully functional module covering all aspects of e-marketing then don't bother. There is no point having something that just skims the surface. A favourite saying of mine "dont re-invent the wheel". Yes SKADATE is a developing product but doesnt mean to say is has to try and master all aspect of every piece of functionality. I guess we just have to agree to dis-agree on this on.Cheers Paul

See your points guys!
SkaDate is always in the process of development. We constantly develop new features and improve existing ones. But usually we do not waist our time on small features development. In our list of priorities more significant features are in higher positions. In my opinion every feature has its level of functionality and usability. And if this level is not high enough it is better to use a third party software that is more professional and specific. I mean special software for mass mailing, which allows to make mass mailing more powerful. I suppose that SkaDate needs a special feature to import profiles into CSV format. This will make it possible to import profiles into third party software like mass mailing. As for Mass Mailing we’ll include HTML and image support into SkaDate7.
Thanks

Ok sounds good, i have other suggestions on this topic:
Not profiles but Profiles Email Addresses
> Yes, the ability to Import Profiles Email Address into CSV format and then possible to Export these Email Addresses to other Third Party Software > Admins should be able to Mass Mail by Country( a common feature among other dating sites), for Admins who run regular events for their members this will be a useful feature, as they can notify members of a particular country only about an event coming instead of Mass Mailing to everyone!

How about Mass Emails by country? Will this be included? For example, Admin can choose which country/location to send Mass Email.. this is very useful because sometimes Admin which to send Mass Email by a particular country only..... like members who only located in England
