Users should be told the message limit when reached.

i.e. the message should say, for example:
Sorry, but you can only send messages 20 times in a day.
rather than:
Sorry, but you can only send messages a limited number of times in a day.

The user should know, if there is a limit, what that limit is.

DONT AGREE with this one, then Spammers would be able to plan around the limit.... for example, if a Spammer knows the limit is 10 per day then he/she would be tempted to create multiple fake profiles to Spam members. On facebook for example there is a limit but facebook don't disclose it

And again the message limit system doesn't work for me, brusselsshrek, i dont get any of the two messages you are referring to. For example, i have Free Membership with a send message limit of 10 per day and i sign up a fake profile and send 11 messages and i DONT get either of those messages that u refer to. I don't get this message "Sorry, but you can only send messages a limited number of times in a day."

You configure the number of messages in the definition of each membership type (see attachment).

Thanks, I did that configuration and Free Members are still able to send more than 10 messages, Unbelievable. Can Skadate do something about this?

in the "membership services" section of the admin, you have to uncheck the "free for all" checkbox in the send messages line. then check it in the "membership type" section under your FREE type and put a limit number in the box provided.

david is right. You need to check "free for all" option.
Let's move this topic to FAQ?
