There are some minor problems with Rate Photo which I list in approx order of priority: - there should be a "Next Photo" link on the page; sometimes I don't want to rate a particular photo but have no way to just skip it
- CRUD - there should be the ability to CHANGE a rating once given (maybe I've changed my mind, decided it is not a valid rating compared to others I've now done etc.)
- CRUD - there should be the ability to DELETE a rating once given. Maybe I don't want to rate a particular photo any more.
- Instead of "View Profile", it should say the profile name (such as on Search), or "View [Profile Name]"
- when you decide to "View Profile" of the person, when you come back to the picture rating you get the next picture, but it's more logical to come back to the picture you came from

Instead of "View Profile", it should say the profile name (such as on Search), or "View [Profile Name]"
Ok, this will be done. As for the other 3 points let's see what other members think. |

I agree with all of these suggestions, these suggestions will give members confidence in the Photo Rating system. Currently, i am of the view that members don't think the Photo Rating System is Fear!

Ok, we'll make it possible to Change and Delete your rate.
As for "when you decide to "View Profile" of the person, when you come back to the picture rating you get the next picture, but it's more logical to come back to the picture you came from" we'll make it so that link "View Profile" will open in a new window. So there will be no need to reload Rate Profile page.

Great that Change and Delete will be available.
For the return coming back to the wrong place, I'm totally against having separate windows open when a user clicks on a profile link. It will cause complete chaos, since there will very soon be loads of windows open, and users will get totally confused which one they are supposed to use. Please just fix the bug, and make the return actually return to where it came from! Or if you can't fix it properly, for goodness sake, don't make things worse.

Well, first of all I should say that this is not a bug. Rate Photo page works as it should. When you click “View Profile” on “Rate Photo” page a profile with same photo will open. You can still rate it. So there is no need to get back to same photo. All popular HotorNot sites work this way. See for example http://www.whoshotornot.com/index.php |

I suppose you mean that "this is not a bug" rather than "this is not a bag". ;-)
I will agree that this is not a bug, and that it is working as you designed. Nonetheless, I do not agree that it is working as it should.
When you are in the rate photo it is like a sequence where you go A->B->C->D->E. If you are on say profile photo C and you click on "View Profile", the BACK button should take you back to the photo you were on, i.e. photo C, and NOT to another photo. Viewing the profile should not be seen as the same as rating the photo.
I really think it is important that the BACK button always takes people back to exactly where they were (OK, as IT people we could say that they're actually back in the "rate_photo.php", but that's not a user's perspective - a user was on photo C, and when he comes back he's not on photo C any more). In this case the user was on photo C, chose to go away from it to something else (the profile detail), and should return to photo C when they have finished their diversion.
I agree that this is how "hot or not" works, but that doesn't make it right.

We'll not include this modification into upcoming upgrade. Probably we'll do it in SkaDate 8.
