All you have to do is add a new profile field on the join form from the admin panel and set that option to display on the members profile. It works for me.
InstructionsFrom the admin panel go to:
Profile Fields > Click Join Tab > Click ' Create a new profile field'There are checkboxs that says:
Field on join page
Field on view page
Field on edit page
Field on search form
All you have to do is check off the options that you want.
During Registration, new members should be able to choose their Relationship Status from the following options:
I am:
>Single
>In a relationship
>In an open relationship
>Married
>Engaged
>It's Complicated
Note: The member option will be displayed for others to see it but this can be optional for new members.
