The "Build Profile" is so difficult for users to use that I have had to disable it!  Out of around 50 profiles, 2 of them had managed to get their profiles to display as completely blank (see attachment), yet did not realise that this was the case!  Neither did I until someone else pointed it out to me.

It should either be IMPOSSIBLE for the user to mess up their profiles this badly (e.g. a profile layout cannot be saved unless it contains ALL of the required elements - e.g. their photos, their text etc.), or it should be EXTREMELY OBVIOUS that there profile looks screwed up (e.g. Users are forced to verify before leaving that "This is what your profile is going to look like, are you sure?").

I have disabled this feature on my site, which is a pity, since I think it's too dangerous for users; it's a powerful feature, which I'm sure has had a lot of work done on it, but it lacks the fool-proof usability to make it usable by naive users.

(I've also currently disabled "Profile HTML" since I haven't got the faintest idea yet what that's for...maybe I will figure it out later, but if it's not obvious to me, it certainly won't be clear to users)

Agree, such features are powerful But not user-friendly.... Profile HTML allows members to add HTLM base content to profile. This could be text, image or video. For example, Member A can copy the video code from YouTube paste this code on Profile Page via Profile HTML on your site.... Or <h2> This site is beautiful<h2> , this code can be copy and paste to Profile HTML and it will show "This site is beautiful " on Member Profile page!!

We already are working over this for upcoming update. There are will be two default required elements for profile build page: Profile Details and Photo Album.

I'm glad I found this site. I had the same problem with 2 new members last week. I didn't know why their profile was not showing up. I had to post a ticket with SKAdate because I didn't know what caused it. I actually deleted their profile and re-did it until I found out what was causing it. I also had a member who totally redesigned their profile and it was great. This feature can be dangerous for those who don't know what they are doing. I might disable it as well.
