Recently have been exploring Facebook and I think the allure is the various little gadgets/gimmicks (for a lack of better word) they have on their site like OWNED! and giving virtual gifts. This makes for more interaction between members and member tend to be on the site longer and more often. Perhaps SkaDate can think out of the box and add an alluring feature like Facebook offers to entice membership and more use.

Excellent idea, i totally agree with this. There should be features which encourage more interactivity and members staying online longer. In addition to iclicku suggestion which i think is an good idea is a "Points System" below is what i think it could work:
Virtual Gifts(Points System)
1. Members would earn Points by being on the site regular(frequency) or some other way
2. There should be a Database of virtual Gifts for members to purchase with these points earned. These gifts can be little gagets, flowers etc.
3. ADMIN can set the points value of each Gift
3. Members can now send these Gifts to other members.

Online Games
There should be a collection of online games members can choose and play with each other OR one good online game such as DOMINOES which is international game and can be played by four(4) members at a time.

You guys are thinking in the right direction to increase interactivity. Maybe some of elaborations of this are going to be in first builds of SkaDate 7. I think it's best to start small (as the right approach to writing software) and adjust accordingly.

What are must-have's in your opinion?

Online Games like a good Multi-Player Dominoe Program would be nice, since Dominoe is an international game( this works pretty well on Yahoo Personals).... also a Database of online gifts that members can send to each other

I agree with Easton. Those 2 would be great. Those are great ideas.

We have been lobbying for online Multiplayer Dominoe Program for a while now. We hope Skadate look into this seriously because members are begging for more online interacton.

For the point system, each activity that the member does on the site should earn them some points, then they can use the points to buy gifts, use advanced site features and more.

This would increase user activity. For example, if you tell members they earn points for each blog or forum post then they would be more active and increase your site content.

Guys

Although I do like the idea of this in a way - I think it is going a bit down the road of bundling everything into one package. For me - I would firstly like to see a newsfeed in the site and then take some other features from facebook and others on merit.

I would like to see something like connect-4 or battleships or something like this - but maybe with dating twist. Why not make battelships - but its some saucy gift you are searching for (pants, knickers etc ) and level-2 gets a bit more saucier Huh

As for normal games - i guess chess or poker might be good starters.
