Is there an easy way to keep people out of the site until they are signed in?  For example, the "Who's online", "Top photos", "Tags" links I would like to force people to sign in (and therefore create a profile if they don't have one), and even for "Search" and "Advanced search".

Thanks for any ideas!

Hi - I think if you turn off these functions for 'guest' and also set the document permissions accordingly (i.e. off for guest) you should achieve what you need ... Cheers Paul  Cool

There are actually a couple ways to prevent someone who is not logged in from accessing your information on your site.

1.  Here's just ONE way I've done it to entice folks to join by showing them the search screen but no results.  It's a detailed example of stopping a NON-LOGGED IN users from accessing the Results of the SEARCH function:

1. Log on to your "Admin Panel"
2. In the "Configuration" area click on the "Navigation"
3. At the top, you have two tabs "Menu Items" and "Documents" Click on "Documents"
4. In the column "Available for Guest" UNCHECK The box in the row for "Search Results"

This way the NON-LOGGED in users can see your SEARCH functionality but not use it.

Again this is just ONE way of doing it...
