What languages are already available for SkaDate?  Just Russian and English?!  Or do I have to do my own translation?!  I know (for example) that there are SkaDate users of French.   So, what language exports exist that we can have?  And are they available for free or a paid extra? - the SkaDate features page (http://www.skadate.com/features.php ) page is suitably vague on this, just stating:

Multiple languages
Convenient interface to work with site languages. Missing values track, language keys and values search. Really easy to add new languages right from admin panel. No programming or file work needed!

You can translate your SkaDate by creating a new language in your admin area and translating English text strings into any language.

Yes, some customers create their own languages including French and German but we don't have any of them here at SkaDate to share. If anyone wants to share self-created languages with others and with us feel free to do so.

I think it's a real wasted effort for each customer to create their own language files; what I would suggest you do is:
* offer language files at a certain price as an extra
* use the income to gradually build up the languages available

I for one would be interested in buying a language file as an add-on.

Certainly, one of things I'd like is for Skalfa as the supplier to organise such things and not leave me to have to scratch my own head trying to figure out a solution.

You've got an opportunity here to make your customers happier, and make yourselves money!!

Hugh,

The problem is that we can't create quality translations ourselves. We did try to obtain them from the customers who did that on their own but without evident luck.

If we had those translations they would go free because I don't feel like charging extra for them. Another thing is that translations need to be maintained and updated constantly, again this is beyond your control if you don't speak Chinese at all. We are just a software company. Smiley

Maybe some of us can share what we have done. I have been converting to 10 languages (French, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Italian, German, Greek, Dutch, Portuguese). I'm almost done with Spanish. Maybe some others can tackle others. I realize that many of us have extra stuff put in, but 80-90% of the site has the same names for conversion. Just a thought. I have been using this site for translations: http://babelfish.yahoo.com/
