i've been reading about everyone's problems and glitches with the software but i have to say that this is a great package overall. you have to do quite a bit of tweaking yourself, and granted the manual does need to be more comprehensive, but my site works just great! i offer all of you to browse through it to see if the problems you have show up in mine. i honestly have not had any mods done by customer support. my site is hosted with skalfa and any mods you have questions about have all been done by me.

I don't think it is fear to other Admins to make such statement knowing that you have the Technical Knowledge to fix exiting glitches and problems with Skadate software..... One doesn't buy a product expecting glitches/problem, one expect such product to work and if it doesn't work then the seller should fix it!! The site manual doesn't show how to fix the problem i am having, Thanks!

Easton,

you misunderstood what i was trying to convey. all i wanted to share was, that out-of-the-box, this software is pretty damn good. i read every posting in these sections, and it seems that every feature this software possesses, someone has an issue with. the software doesn't have that many problems. nothings perfect, but you can still start a very nice dating or social network website with minimal effort and headaches as opposed to other packages out there.

Agree, SkaDate is a great software.... getting another SkaDate package is on my To-Do-List!!

However, my contribution on this board is to make the software better by pointing out issues/problems with software and in someway get SkaDate to fix them! I dont think we can sit and relax knowing this industry is competitive and ever changing.

AGREED!...i was just getting the impression from reading the postings that some of the admins were almost regretting their decision to go with the Skadate package.

Ok David,

I have an issue hopefully you can help out! Basically i would like a sign/warning(You have reached your email limit) showing to my Free Members when day reached their Email Limit for the day.

I went to Membership Types> Free Members> and change send email to Ten(10) and check with a profile but the system still allows me to send Unlimited emails when i only want to send Ten(10) messages. There is no sign/warning to me that i have reached/sent Ten(10) emails, i was allowed to send more messages!

Any suggestion to solve this problem

you have to go to admin>membership services and uncheck "send messages" free for all.

Hi
See your points guys!

People experienced in the software industry, understand that every software has its own list of bugs. Nothing is perfect! Every product has its shortages. The more important things are the significance and the number of those bugs within one product.
Within this year we haven't been reported any significant bugs. Usually people make mistakes in the software settings. This is a good tendency. Thus we do not waist our time on bug fixing. We focus on the development of new features and improvement of existing ones.

As an admin who bought the software back in March I am still pretty happy with it   Smiley - I certainly think that for the money I can have no complaints.  I did a fair bit of research of the available software before going for SkaDate and I don't regret it!  It's a BMW-quality software for a 50 cc moped price!

I agree fully with davids statement that "this is a great package overall".  I'm just here frequently posting to make it even better!  Grin

I agree, the software is great. I have had a dozen or so minor problems that SKADate has resolved rather quickly via the ticket. I am very happy I bought this software. Just wish you could get someone on tech support when a real issue needs to be resolved immediately. That's my only real big complaint. Other than that, it's been a great package out of the box. Oh, the manual could be better.
