Finding stuff on this board is very confusing. You keep moving things.

1. The blogs are useless, not user friendly
2. The forum is not user friendly.
3. Events shouldn't say "admin" you should be able to see the list by default, but you have it by calendar.
4. Need to be able to have people unsubscribe to email ... as was posted in other boards. People get very upset and want to delete their account. I complained to you about this, but you ignored me.
5. The free chuppo chat needs to be increased. People get disconnected all the time or there is lag. 1000 connections is nothing. Userplane is completely free.
6. Upload of videos don't work most of the time.
7. I have seen othee software programs, like dolphin that may not look as nice, but are more user friendly and offer more applications like photo galleries, and classifieds, articles. etc.

I will have to agree with clickygirl on this. I do sometimes find the board a bit confusing. There seems to be alot of subforums. And alot of the topics are "moved"

You see, aleast i am not the only one see that the Skadate Software is too complicated and NOT user-friendly. This was my very first Topic on this board. Upload Videos for example is a major problem it never works. I get emails everyday of members having trouble uploading a video and when they do upload they see a black screen, the video is NOT showing. Blog is also not user-friendly. I have a question?

Why is it Skadate is not rushing to add the much needed New features and Improve software? Are we been blockmail so that we can pay for New Upgrades all the time? Most other software company offer Free Lifetime Upgrades while we have to pay $200 at Skadate for it....

I also agree on that too.
We payed 700 dollars. I mean i didn't mind paying that much. Because im happy with it, and its better than any other software out there.
But when i was told i had to pay 200 dollars for updates. Shocked
200 seems like you guys don't care about us and just want our money. Roll Eyes
For example vbulletin charges 30/year for updates.

Well with that price, ADMIN's should not be complaining about problems with Skadate Software and suggesting Stardard Features. The fact is, these suggested features should be in the Skadate Software along time ago and now looking to improve on them and it is so painful that they are dragging their feet to add STANDARD and COMMON features among other software. Features such as Classified, Groups, Photo Album, Friends Invite(contact list) and so on.... all common among other software. The truth is Skadate is logging behind with an Expensive Software! Undecided

and they charge the same $200 for minor free updates if ADMIN's don't know how to install it(minor updates). How can Skadate charge ADMIN's for minor updates that suppose to be FREE? I think if ADMIN's don't know how to install the Free Updates, then Skadate should charge a small installation fee only and NOT $200. This is a rip-off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too many things in one topic but I'll try to answer them all. Too much confusion here.

Forum, search issues:
We are moving topics to their appropriate places when 1) they are misplaced 2) suggestions get selected for implementation. Look at subforums in SkaDate "Feature Suggestions", they contain what you suggested and what we agreed to implement. We are moving them because some of you asked that. Hit 'Search' link in the forum menu and enter some term like 'mailbox', results are pretty obvious.

Terri:
1-4. Already discussed, we are working on it.

Video upload: Now, there's the only Unix library for converting regular video formats to flv (to be played by a flash player). It works with glitches sometimes and sure it refuses to accept wrong formats - this is the most common problem being reported. If anyone has any open issues with video, let our support staff know. Drop me an email any time if you need my assistance.

Currently we are working hard on implementing your suggestions and we outlined which features and enhancements will be in the upcoming update. Please allow us some time to make the complex and iron-robust software package also one of the most usable on the market. In my early days I discovered that writing software is hard, writing good software is even harder. Figuring out usability shortcomings is much easier than to write a BMW-class software. We just need some more time and your help.

We do not charge mandatory $200 for anything. If there's a minor update on the table, we only take money by request for updating the site. If one holds software license it's very well possible to upgrade the site without our assistance. We will be glad if you do and will provide all tools and instructions. An upgrade can take 1-2 workdays per one site (depending on modifications) hence the fee. I don't think vBulletin is going to go and update sites for $30/year, especially heavily modified ones.

When you are serious about business you need individual service. Good, viable service is not cheap because it takes time and effort. Sure there are other pieces of software yet we somehow manage to develop the product, make profit and show stable growth. Guys, if you still think there's something wrong here don't hesitate to let me know. We are here to discuss problems and finding ways for everyone to benefit.

Thanks.
