Actual even though PM does not appear on the drop down when you click on a member in the chat room you can still type in the profile name on the chat line and this will still send a PM ... as some of my members proudly told me - nothing like feeling like an idiot !

Terri,

We are going to make private messaging optional, if this is your concern. Right now it can be turned off, it's just that you temporarily can't do it via admin panel. Drop a line to service staff to have it turned off manually for you.

Video dock problem can be explained by slow connection because a video stream needs some certain time to refresh. It doesn't depend on chuPPo chat or logging on/off, it's all about client connection speed.

So we were told to upgrade to CHUPPO CHAT and we paid our fee. There has been nothing but problems. There is a lag in the room, when you dock someone's video you see someone else's video. I had to log out and back in to chat, as everyone had to do. Of course this is counted against us as more than one "chat session" Today chuppo chat doesn't work at all yet we paid for the service.

I agree about the private messaging, you have essentially allowed non paying members who use chat to provide personal information such as their email addresses to other members in chat. When will you be fixing this?

Paul,

I do not think that releasing a feature without full moderation capability is a serious problem, I mean what makes you responsible for all kinds of communication on your site? At least, users sign up and use your site according to your EULA, so they must understand how any website (or chat for that matter) works with their private data.

Yes, we will make private messaging optional, so you can turn it off on your site. Thanks for suggestion. Also, we will work on the administration area to eliminate any shortcomings. We just wanted to make this release as soon as possible because so many people (and their end users) asked for those features.

Hi have used Chuppo Chat since I started using SKADATE.... I have a number of comments ...

Firstly I like the chupp chat room - its look and feel ....

However

As a paying customer it would be been nice to have been told that new functions where going live rather than them just appearing on my site.

I have issues with the following.

The new control panel in Chuppo doesnt function properly ... fault logged.

Private messaging and Private Rooms are ALL very well BUT if there is no effective way to moderate (i.e. view all PM's and ghost in PRIVATE ROOMS) - this creates a very unsafe environment.

Moderation and safety must come first and before any functionality ... it is irresponsible not to give people who run web sites the ability to see what is going on ...

I personally do not like PRIVATE MESSAGES I think they kill chats rooms and the ability to turn this function off or on should be my choice ....

I think you have made a mistake by releasing this functionailty without FULL Moderator functionality.

The internet can be a very dangerous place - it can also be a fun place .... only you the software provides can make that happen ... at this moment in time I think that Chuppo Chats are very UNSAFE....

Please address this ASAP ....

A VERY CONCERNED website owner .....
