Downtime

November 15, 2007 – 12:54 pm, by Emil @ Skalfa

We are experiencing several hour downtime right now. Some sites, including SkaDate, are affected. Please, do not worry and allow us to have them up. It shouldn’t take long.

We’ll post updates in comments.

  2. Looks like it’s a local DNS problem. At least sites are being resolved from the server itself.

  3. The site http://www.SkaDate.com is partially up. The downtime was approximately 4.5 hours. It’s going to take some time before it’s visible for all ISP’s. When you read this it should be working at your place already.

  4. Saturday Novembe 17, 2007, and the site has been down 4 hours. No email to us on helping us. Every moment of downtime we lose members. We have a lot of competition and the download time has essentially ruined us.

  5. Skadate claims if you retain 1000 members they will reimburse you $295 but it is not true for us. They have stipulations that they do not tell you about.

  6. Terri,

We’re glad we figured it out with our hosting partner. Sometimes there are situations that you simply can not affect in any way.

As for our special offer with 1,000 members, it’s transparent – those members need to be real and active, we have criteria for that – feel free to ask salesmen, as prompted in the advertisement.

  7. We have over 1300 members. They are real. When do we get our refund?

  8. Terri,

  9. I did they don’t respond. Sometimes you don’t even answer you telephone. You can’t have it both ways, telling us that we had 1000 connections to chat, but not 1000 people on our site!!!! REFUND US our $295 NOW.

  11. For the second in in two months your servers have been hacked and my site effected. I cannot understand why your security is not upto date. What makes matter even worse this time is that the site has been restored from a backup that is 3 days old.

How can I instill confidence in my user base ?

Why are backups out of date

Why are HACKERS targetting your servers

I was promised by you that a hack WOULD NEVER EVER happpen again and yet it has and worse than before.

I would appreciate a full and personal response please !

    Thank you
