Xitti – the adult version of WackWall
December 17, 2009 – 5:54 am, by Emil @ SkalfaAt this very moment we are setting up servers and doing final testing of OpenWack platform that will power WackWall social network builder tool after the big relaunch.
With that relaunch we are introducing one more change – we will divide adult communities from the rest of the WackWall society. This is a necessary step because there was a huge demand from our users to do that. Both parts will have free unlimited beta period. After the end of beta period we will start charging adult comminities small monthly fee.
We will start converting adult communities first and move them to Xitti – the adult division of WackWall. The owners of adult communities will receive email with necessary instructions from us once we are ready to start.
So please be patient, we are very close and are currently working on setting up network environment for the new platform. Cross your fingers and wish the upgrade goes smoothly to the joy of your members!

Oh boy, all this waiting and now you decided to charge after you were saying it will be free? I can’t afford to pay monthly from my own pocket, my club right now only has 20 people and after a double fiasco my members will not pay monthly membership fees so I can run it. Oh well. Maybe you can consider not charging people who have under 50 members and who do not charge for membership on their network. I was so counting on building my community on wackwall, now I am back where I started, waiting for months for you to launch and now I can’t put my club on your site any way… just my luck

First of all, we never promised the adult version to be completely free. Somebody has to pay for hosting facilities. In case of WackWall (non-adult sites) we cover that with advertisement. In case of Xitti (adult sites) we decided to cancel adult ads and put small fee with great benefits. Those benefits combined will cost less than the same optional ones on WackWall. We believe this is the most fair of all options to keep the adult division running. But of course we are always open to hearing feedback from you and other webmasters!

How “small” of a fee are you considering? Just curious. If it’s $ 4.99-$9.99 a month maybe I can manage, but more than that will be hard. Considering that everyone has regular home bills and after there is almost nothing left after paying the bills, people still have to buy food. I have lost half my patients this year due to the economy, their spouses, or even both of them getting laid off of work. Everyone I speak to is struggling tremendously.
Other adult networks charge $19.99 $ 29.99 or even more. They are forgetting how bad the economy is here right now. Their networks are almost empty. I think it’s better to charge less and actually have members joining, than charge more and have an empty network. A couple of the networks I used to watch actually vanished from the web. Talking about them, not you… but if the fee is small enough, people will give it a try.

Grace,
The fee is $20. I believe everyone can afford the price of 4 coffees for creating a community using cool software tools that we’re preparing for you. That fee is fixed and will not grow with the number of members in your community.
P.S. Happy New Year to you, too! Good luck in your endeavors!
